WTC final: Kangaroo captain’s big statement on warm-up match, said- India won back-to-back matches in Australia

Australia captain Pat Cummins has justified the decision not to play any warm-up matches ahead of the World Test Championship final and the Ashes. He said that due to such a schedule of the game, there is very little time for practice. Australia has implemented a no-tour match policy since the tour of Pakistan last year.

Australia is also implementing it ahead of the important tour of England. It has the World Championship with India from June 7 to 11 and the Ashes from June 16 to July 31. Cummins said that he gets a break sometime. He said that before the start of six Test matches, I want to be physically fit.

Speaking at the ICC show at the Oval, Cummins said that we have done a lot of training after coming back home (Australia). We are feeling very fresh and looking forward to the upcoming matches. He said that the ball gets a lot of bounce on this pitch and our team has enough bowlers to take advantage of the conditions. The captain said that we have enough bowlers to use at different times. He said that during the inaugural championship in 2021, we missed out on making it to the finals, due to which we have returned to the tournament this time due to hard work.

Cummins said that if any team has given a tough competition to us in the recent past, then it is the Indian team. The Indian team has won back to back series in Australia. He said that for some time we have not been able to perform well in the home series. Rohit Sharma’s team has given us a lot of defeat.
