Salah apologises as Liverpool misses out on a Champions League berth, calling it "totally devastated, no excuse"

Mohamed Salah, a striker for Liverpool, said he was “totally devastated” that they had missed out on Champions League qualifying and that the team had let the supporters down.
Liverpool's chances of qualifying for Europe's top club tournament next season were dashed by Manchester United's 4-1 victory against Chelsea on Thursday. With one game left, Juergen Klopp's team is in fifth place, four points below the top four.
Due to injuries and a run of bad luck, Liverpool, which finished one point behind Premier League winners Manchester City the previous season, has been unable to make a push this year.
Salah said on Twitter, “I'm completely devastated.” There is no justification for this at all. We had everything we had to qualify for the Champions League the next year, but we fell short.
“We are Liverpool, and entering the tournament is the very least we can do. Sorry, but it's too soon for a motivational or upbeat message. We failed both you and ourselves.
