Spanish league president retracts remarks against Vincius Jnior

Vincius Jnior, a star for Real Madrid, received an apology from Spanish soccer league president Javier Tebas for his comments that he made in an effort to minimize a racist incident involving the Brazilian striker over the weekend.
Tebas expressed his regret for his remarks many times in appearances with Brazilian TV networks on Wednesday, claiming they were “misunderstood” and “untimely.”
Following the incident on Sunday, Tebas criticized Vincius for criticizing the Spanish league and said that the Real Madrid player failed to show up for racial equality discussions he had personally asked.
The Spanish executive is now sorry for his remarks.
Vincius had previously complained of similar abuse and was subjected to racial comments from Valencia supporters during Real Madrid's 1-0 defeat in the Spanish league on Sunday.
Tebas admitted to being mistaken to TV Globo. “I need to say I'm sorry and beg your pardon for that tweet. We have long since appealed to the courts because we adore Vinicius. We are aware of this and will continue to support Vinicius.
“I must apologise if this tweet was misunderstood, which undoubtedly occurred since many individuals perceived it differently. Nothing else,” Tebas said.
Vinicius responded to Tebas' post from Sunday.
The league president attacks me on social media rather than calling out bigots, Vincius stated. “I'm not your buddy; I'm not here to discuss racism with you. I demand consequences and sanctions.
Tebas' apology was met with silence from the Brazilian player.
