Certificate Distribution Ceremony at Habitat Learning Centre of the India Habitat Centre

The Habitat Learning Centre (HLC) of the India Habitat Centre organised the Certificate Distribution Ceremony to honour students who successfully completed the Basic and Advanced Computer Course and the Skill Development Courses in Content Management System, Hardware Networking and Visual Documentation. The Chief Guest of the event was Shri. Katikithala Srinivas, IAS, President, India Habitat Centre. The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. K. G. Suresh, Director, India Habitat Centre. 

In his welcome address, Prof. Dr. K. G. Suresh emphasised the importance of digital literacy and skill-based education in creating opportunities for young people. He reiterated the India Habitat Centre’s commitment to providing quality learning that is inclusive and enhances employability and empowers learners to become self-reliant. 

Shri. Katikithala Srinivas, IAS, President, India Habitat Centre congratulated the students and said that the Habitat Learning Centre has equipped learners with much more than technical knowledge. “The Habitat Learning Centre has enabled students not just with skills, but with confidence,”. He added that confidence is the foundation upon which careers and meaningful lives are built. 

The ceremony featured experience-sharing sessions by Toppers from various courses who spoke about how the courses had enhanced their technical abilities, self-confidence and career prospects. 

Awards and certificates were presented to the toppers and students of the Habitat Learning Centre and Extension Learning Centre by Shri Kathikitala Srinivas, IAS. President, India Habitat Centre, and Prof. Dr. K. G. Suresh, Director, India Habitat Centre (IHC). 

Both President – India Habitat Centre  & Director – India Habitat Centre also felicitated Ms Geetha Balasubramanian, the outgoing Head of Habitat Learning Centre, while students & teachers lauded her contributions to the Centre and students over the last decades.

A special musical performance by a BCMS student added a celebratory touch to the occasion.
